The Scoop on Roselyn

Roselyn is a city girl; a New York City girl at that! She's a Capircorn (January 12th!) and definitly embodies the down-to-earth and driven traits that those zodiac goats are known for. According to Cosmo's Beside The Astrologer guide, she is also stylish, a goal setter (and achiever), and a person who takes very little risks -- all of which are very true!

She grew up in a house predominated by women where blush, lipstick and nail polish of all sorts outnumbered her Barbie collection. Her fascination with everything beauty began at the tender age of four when her Bonne Bell Smackers collection out grew the number of crayons she kept around. What started as an innocent liking soon turned into a fascination -- but with some training and helpful guides of course.

Her mom was wife to a musician in the entertainment world and thus had a personalized makeup artist. It is here where Roselyn got her first look at what makeup was really about. Watching her mother get dolled up was like walking into a candy store -- you just couldn't help but absorb everything as it evolved. The glosses, the brushes,  the shadows -- they all lured her interest and officially made her a beauty junkie; by the age of ten that is.

Today, Roselyn remains a city girl and a beauty junkie...a 'beauty junkie in the city' if you might! Everything from haircare to skincare, even ancient beauty secrets; she is all aware of. So of course it only made sense that she offered her two beauty cents to the public!

She comes from a rock star family (literally) of which many were involved one way or another in the entertainment and music industry, but unfortunately the only singing she will ever do is in her own shower! So much for that not-so-inherited talent!

Her attempt at being "normal" includes working at a private finance firm in midtown and going to Fordham University as she pursues her degree in Finance. She likes to shop, cook, travel, and hang with friends. She also takes modeling gigs every now and then. She's been featured in ad campaigns and commercials for the likes of MTV, VH1, Pepsi, and Target just to name a few and has been featured in music videos for artists such as Kanye West, Avril Levign and P.Diddy. And of course she also LOVES her job as the head honcho here on Makeup Makes Me Happy!

When she's not blogging, working, or doing anything that society would consider "valuable" with her time, you can find Roselyn at home yapping on the phone or spoiling her fabulous two-year old Shiba Inu pooch named Foxy (she's the dog on the banner), endlessly -- which of course she considers very valuable!
